Gish, Siamese Dream, Mashed Potaoes, Pisces Iscariot, Mellon Collie and The infinite sadness, The Aeroplane Flies High, Adore, Machina: The Machines of God, MachinaII: The old friends of modern music y el Greatest hits; constituyen la escencia de los Pumpkins, cada album fue alabado por los fans y aclamado por las críticas de su época, sobresaliendo Siamese Dream y Mellon collie and The Infinite sadness los cuales, por su calidad y por su gran número de ventas se convirtieron en los discos mas exitosos de la banda.

Por último es de considerar el zeitgeist, que apesar de ser producto de una banda compuesta por el 50% de la original, posee un par de canciones de buen nivel (lo ideal sería q volvieran James y D'arcy a la banda pero esto parece ser un sueño imposible).
